Ordering Repeat Prescriptions
If you are on regular medication and require a prescription, you can request your medication in the following ways;
- Order via our Online Services.
- By asking your local pharmacist to request on your behalf.
- Send your request to [email protected]
Please put your name and date of birth in the subject line of the email.
Non-urgent advice: Notice
Your prescription will be sent by EPS [Electronic Prescription Service] to your chosen pharmacy. Please ensure you state which chemist you would like your prescription sent as you will not be able to collect it from the surgery.
If we receive your request before 10.30 Monday to Friday it will be ready within 48 hours. [subject to staffing levels as a result of Coronavirus].
However, if we receive the request after 10.30am Monday to Friday it will be ready 48 hours from the next day.
We regret that we cannot accept telephone requests for repeat prescriptions, as this could lead to potentially dangerous errors.

- Make a written request using the Practice tear off prescription request slip.
- Send your request by post or fax it to your normal surgery of attendance. (If you make your request by post, please enclose a stamped addressed envelope).
If we receive your request before 10.30 Monday to Friday it will be ready within 48 hours. However, if we receive the request after 10.30am Monday to Friday it will be ready 48 hours from the next day.

Requesting your Medication Online Information
You can now submit a request for your repeat medication using the internet. This service, which is available through Patient Access allows you to view all the items in your repeat medication list and select the ones you wish to request.
Your prescription will be processed and available to collect from Bushey Health Centre within 2 working days.
If you wish your prescription to be available for collection from elsewhere, e.g. Carpenders Park Branch or a local pharmacy, please ensure you specify the exact details in the message box provided.
Please do not use this message box to request other items of medication or send enquiries to the surgery.
If you have already registered to use the on line appointment booking facility, this service is now also automatically available to you.

What Should I go to my Pharmacy for?
Pharmacists can give you advice and treatment for many health problems and advice on how to improve your health – without the need for an appointment.
Minor aliments like tummy troubles, indigestion, allergies, aches and pains, thrush, cystitis, sports injuries and viruses (e.g. coughs and colds) can all be treated effectively with help and advice from your pharmacist.
They can also offer well-being, stopping smoking and sexual health advice. Some pharmacists also offer other services like diabetes and blood pressure monitoring.
Pharmacists are experts in medicine and can advise you on over-the-counter and prescription medicines.
