Dr Sandip Pramanik

I joined Attenborough Surgery as a GP Partner in October 2013.

I completed my medical training in 2008 at the University of Manchester. Following this I worked in various posts as a junior doctor at University Hospital Birmingham and then City Hospital.

Over the last 3 years of my GP training I have worked in Paediatrics, Accident & Emergency, General medicine, Acute Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Elderly care and Intensive Care. Much of this has been in Watford General Hospital and I have worked with many of the local Consultants of these specialties. I have also worked as part of the Community Mental Health team and worked on call with psychiatric emergencies in the neighbouring units in Hertfordshire.

In addition to my hospital jobs I have already worked at Attenborough surgery for over a year as a GP registrar. I have a particular interest in Child Health, General Medicine and Psychiatry. I have also undertaken a BSc in Biomedical Science and a Masters degree in Immunology and hold a strong interest in research and academic medicine. To further my interest in child health I have recently completed the Diploma in Child Health.

Away from work I enjoy playing badminton, golf and cricket and like spending time with my family and friends. I also do charity work and act as a mentor to young aspiring doctors.
