New Opening Hours at Carpenders Park Surgery

WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE OUR BOUNDARY AREA NOW INCLUDES SOUTH OXHEY.

NEW OPENING HOURS FROM 4TH JANUARY 2010 

You may well have noticed that the practice is planning to increase the opening hours in Carpenders Park from January 2010 to include afternoon sessions on 4 days a week, from Monday to Thursday.

This will increase the total doctor time and make services available to a wider range of patients.

Surveys of patients’ views have highlighted the lack of continuity of care at Carpenders Park. As Dr. Purbrick will be retiring at the latter part of next year and both she and Dr. Borkett-Jones have only offered one session each per week at Carpenders Park, we have acknowledged that it has become more difficult for their patients to book appointments and follow-up is increasingly difficult. 

With this in mind part of our reorganisation will mean that from 4th January 2010 Drs Borkett-Jones and Dr. Purbrick will no longer be working from Carpenders Park.  They will both still be available at Bushey. 

The total number of sessions provided by lady doctors will remain unchanged and these will be divided between Dr McHugh and Dr Youssefi.

Patients registered at Carpenders Park will still be able to see the Doctor of their choice at Bushey.

The practice is hoping to increase the total list size by expanding the practice area to include South Oxhey. This will help to fund the staffing and equipment costs incurred by increasing the opening times.
